New company “NTT DATA AIVista” starts NTT DATA Group

On Monday, December 1st, NTT DATA established a new company, ”NTT DATA AIVista,” in Silicon Valley in the United States to promote the creation of new AI-native businesses. Mr. Bratin Saha has been appointed as president. President Saha has held key positions at NVIDIA, Amazon, and Digital Ocean, and has a wealth of experience in the fields of AI and machine learning. In particular, at Digital Ocean, he oversaw product strategy, platform development, and security as chief product and technology officer. He also contributed to building the AI business of AWS (Amazon Web Services).
NTT DATA is advancing its AI business with the two pillars of ”proactive AI promotion” and ”safety and security through AI governance.” The company’s group-wide AI utilization is centered around an organization called the “Global AI Office.” Kenji Motohashi, head of the Global AI Office, says, ”We are engaged in a wide range of activities, including promoting the use of generative AI both in Japan and overseas, as well as training AI human resources.”
In Japan, NTT DATA’s GenAI Business Promotion Department is driving the AI business. Overseas, Abhijit Dubey, president of NTT DATA Inc., is promoting AI as chief AI officer.
The mission of the new company under this NTT DATA Group structure is to create new AI-native businesses.
