It’s been three years since I started learning Krav Maga, a close-combat martial art invented in Israel. As the world has become more dangerous, I thought I should at least learn some self-defense techniques, so I started at 50. Until then I was a martial arts outsider, and knew nothing about judo or karate, and had no interest in them. Even now I continue with the sole goal of learning self-defense techniques, nothing more, nothing less. I’m impressed with myself for being able to continue without giving up, but unfortunately I’m not making much progress. I wish I could at least make the basic techniques part of my life. (Kei)
