Strengthening the satellite supply chain, satellite architecture standardization based on DX INDUSTRIAL-X

INDUSTRIAL-X has been selected for the “FS for establishing a cross-sectional mechanism for the construction and innovation of the satellite supply chain” as part of JAXA’s Space Strategy Fund’s “Development and Demonstration of Satellite Parts and Components for the Construction of a Satellite Supply Chain.”
This project is a feasibility study conducted by Mitsubishi Electric and NEC, with INDUSTRIAL-X as the representative organization. In order to strengthen the competitiveness of Japan’s satellite supply chain, we will conduct research and examination with the aim of establishing basic policies for satellite architecture standardization and development process standardization and efficiency based on the perspective of DX.
This project will be carried out until the end of March next year.
Specifically, in order to establish basic policies for standardization and efficiency to improve the competitiveness of Japan’s space industry, we will investigate the feasibility of architecture standardization and development process reform (digitalization) and consider shortening delivery times and reducing costs in the supply chain of the entire space industry.
In addition, based on the results of the survey and study, we aim to thoroughly improve the efficiency of collaborative areas in the domestic space industry and ensure Japan’s superiority in the development of next-generation satellites.
