NTT will establish “NTT AI-CIX (AI-Cross Industry Transformation)” this month. It is a new company that aims to bring about industrial transformation by promoting “cross-industry AI” rather than “individual AI”.

The new company is a spin-off of the data-related department at NTT Research Laboratories. Ippei Shake will be the company’s representative director and president.
The company plans to accelerate the social implementation of cross-industry AI services by utilizing the knowledge it has gained from working in a variety of industrial fields (retail, urban development, transportation, electricity, agriculture, healthcare, etc.).
