NTT e-Sports will open a correspondence support school, “NTT e-Sports High School,” in Chiba City in April next year, to develop the ability to play an active role in society through e-sports.

Recruitment for the first batch of 50 students for the Chiba school (for students who will be in their first year of high school as of April next year) began on Tuesday, July 16th this year.

NTT e-Sports High School is opening in collaboration with DNK, which established and operates Chuo International School, a school corporation. It will support students in obtaining a high school diploma and studying.

Currently, e-sports is mainly played on a computer, so players have little resistance to computer knowledge and ICT technology and are well-equipped to learn digital skills.
NTT e-Sports High School has focused on this characteristic and hopes to enable students to learn both esports skills and digital skills by offering a program that gradually develops digital skills through esports.
The school building is fully equipped with high-performance gaming PCs and peripheral devices, and the communication lines will use “FLET’S Hikari Cross” provided by NTT East, providing a learning space where students and teachers can concentrate on studying esports and digital skills.
