Canon and others observe lung structure with MR
Canon, Canon IT Solutions, Medtronic Japan, and Zyiosoft have released MR Anatomy, a training system for medical professionals that allows them to observe lung structure captured by computed tomography (CT) with MR.
In recent years, the number of procedures for removing smaller tumors, called segmentectomy, has increased in lung cancer surgery, and this has led to a demand for medical professionals to have a detailed understanding of the structure of the lungs. MR Anatomy aims to improve the quality of education and training in the medical field by displaying high-resolution, life-size 3D images of lungs in the real world and deepening understanding of anatomical structures such as the relative positions of organs, blood vessels, and lesions.
Setup is completed by simply dragging and dropping the 3D CT images of the lungs on a computer using a dedicated application. It can be operated intuitively. Monthly fee: 250,000 yen (excluding tax).
