The Bank of Japan has decided to end negative interest rates. Perhaps this can be taken as a message of an end to deflation. Will the deflation that has continued for 30 years finally end? Looking back, my working life was accompanied by deflation. To put it in extremes, my professional life was all about deflation, low growth, and stagnation. As a result, we are still unsure of what inflation will look like and what strong growth will look like, and we are filled with a mixture of hope and anxiety. In any case, a new door is about to open at a turning point. We have no choice but to see this as an opportunity and move forward. (Kei)
