Oguni Town in Yamagata Prefecture and NTT East Yamagata Branch will conduct a demonstration experiment of automatic snow removal using digital technologies such as AI and IoT to solve the problem of snow removal. The system monitors the snow depth without human visual supervision, and issues a snow removal notification to the snow removal machine when the snow depth reaches a threshold. Information is received via cloud linkage, and unmanned snow removal operations are carried out using GPS control.
