Shionogi and Iris have entered into a promotional cooperation agreement for the AI-equipped pharyngeal endoscope system “nodoca,” which is developed, manufactured, and sold by Iris.
Influenza, the disease targeted by nodoca, is a national infectious disease that is said to infect more than 10 million people each year.
As winter approaches the peak of the influenza epidemic, under this cooperation agreement Shionogi ‘s MR (medical information representative) will provide information on Nodoca, an AI-equipped influenza testing device, to medical workers across Japan. It is expected that this technology will contribute to resolving issues in the treatment of infectious diseases during the influenza season.
