Ship-land communication system development NTT Com, pace Compass, SKY Perfect JSAT participate

NTT Communications (NTT Com), Space Compass, and SKY Perfect JSAT, as members of DFFAS+ (Designing the Future of Fully Autonomous Ships Plus Consortium), which consists of 51 domestic companies, will participate in the “Technology Development Grant Program for Social Implementation of Unmanned Ships” in MEGURI 2040, an unmanned ship project promoted by the Nippon Foundation.
Toward the realization of unmanned navigation, there are many development elements such as hull control, control, monitoring, and communication.
While confirming and verifying the communication quality and data transmission method required for future unmanned operations in demonstration experiments, we will proceed with the development of a communication system that can use terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks efficiently and effectively.
