Qosmo established a new company “Neutone” for the purpose of developing and selling new types of synthesizers and effectors using AI.
By developing new “musical instruments” using the latest AI technology, we will start activities with the aim of creating new musical expressions and music genres for the 21st century with domestic and foreign artists.
Qosmo has developed a plug-in “Neutone Plugin” that enables real-time DSP (digital sound processing) models using deep learning to be used on DAWs (digital audio workstations), and has been providing it free of charge since May 2022.
By providing the latest AI model in the form of a general-purpose plug-in, Neutone has made it possible to introduce AI technology into the creation process, which has been a high barrier to entry.
Newly developed AI models can be easily shared with many musicians. There are now over 1000 members participating in the Neutone community.
Live performances using Neutone have been presented at global festivals such as MUTEK and Sonar.
