WHILL conducted a field survey of small mobility vehicles that can travel in walking areas, including short-distance mobility WHILL, at Asahikawa Heiwadori Shopping Park in Asahikawa City.
They aim to create opportunities for seniors who have difficulty walking to go out.
Asahikawa Heiwadori Shopping Park was opened 50 years ago as Japan’s first permanent pedestrian street. While there are many shops, restaurants, and attractions, there is also the issue of distance from Asahikawa Station.
