NTT adopts Fujitsu’s optical transmission platform “1FINITY Ultra Optical System”

NTT has adopted Fujitsu’s optical transmission platform “1FINITY Ultra Optical System” as a verification device for building a next-generation optical core network that covers the whole country.
Fujitsu will receive an order this month and plans to deliver the verification machine in the first half of this fiscal year.
NTT Group will promote transmission optimized according to usage and regional communication demand, such as terabit/second transmission for urban areas such as the Tokyo metropolitan area and 800 gigabit/second transmission that connects remote areas.
