The Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, and Nauru connect four islands in three countries with optical submarine cables NEC

NEC is working with FSM Telecommunications Cable Corporation (FSMTCC), a submarine cable operator in the Federated States of Micronesia, BNL (Bwebweriki Net Limited), a state-owned telecommunications company in the Republic of Kiribati, and NFCC (Nauru Fiber Cable Corporation), a state-owned telecommunications company in the Republic of Nauru, to lay optical submarine cables. They signed a system supply contract for the project “EMCS (East Micronesia Cable System)”.
EMCS is an optical submarine cable with a total length of about 2,250 kilometers, connecting four islands in three countries, the Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, and Nauru, and is the first optical submarine cable to connect Kiribati, Nauru, and the Federated States of Micronesia.
