NEC and MSK Agricultural Machinery (MFM) collaborated in the field of farming support, and signed a partnership agreement on various advanced agricultural machinery handled by MFM and services utilizing NEC’s agricultural ICT platform “CropScope”.
MFM utilizes “CropScope” to develop a service that visualizes the field environment from satellite images and data from various sensors. In addition, we will start a variable fertilization service to adjust the amount of fertilization for each area by linking the data that visualizes the growth of crops and the nitrogen content of the soil with the variable fertilization machine.
NEC and MFM conducted a demonstration experiment and confirmed a 15% reduction in fertilizer application and a 10-20% increase in yield compared to fields that do not use the field visualization service and variable fertilization service.
