New product in “environment-resistant FPC” OKI Electric Cable
OKI Electric Cable has developed two types of new products in the “environment-resistant FPC”, a flexible circuit board (FPC) that can be used under severe conditions of high temperature and high-pressure steam environments: “high-heat-resistant FPC” and “high-pressure steam-resistant FPC”. .
In addition to our proprietary surface treatment, the high-pressure steam-resistant FPC adopts silicone resin for the insulation layer to improve high-pressure steam resistance. The high-heat-resistant FPC maintains the adhesion of the insulation layer even after high-temperature treatment at 200°C x 1000H, and achieves performance that fully satisfies standards for electrical properties such as insulation resistance. In addition, the high-pressure steam-resistant FPC maintains the adhesion of the insulating layer even after high-pressure steam treatment at 132°C/0.2 MPa/15 min x 250 times, and achieves performance that fully satisfies standards for electrical properties such as insulation resistance.
FPC is a flexible substrate that uses a plastic film as the base material. Compared to general rigid substrates, it is extremely thin and flexible, and can be bent freely, allowing wiring in narrow gaps in electronic devices, in three-dimensional layouts, and in moving parts that bend repeatedly. is.
The target market will be equipment that requires high-temperature heat treatment and equipment that requires high-pressure steam sterilization, and global sales will begin in June. We are aiming for sales of 100 million yen or more this year.
