Nextmode won Okta JAPAN’s “Reseller New Business of the Year” award
Nextmode won Okta JAPAN’s “Reseller New Business of the Year” award.
This award recognizes the distributor who sold Okta products to the most new customers in Japan last year (February 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023).
Okta is an identity management service provider. By using the company’s solutions, it is possible to use appropriate systems regardless of cloud or on-premises.
Nextmode is a joint venture established by NTT East Japan and Class Method in 2020. As an integrator specializing in the cloud, we focus on creating an environment where you can work securely regardless of location, such as remote work or workation. It has zero trust network products such as Okta, and has acquired 253 trading companies and 711 contracts in the last three years. Seventy to eighty percent of the company’s customers are small and medium-sized enterprises.
Munori Satomi, president of Nextmode, said, “With the spread of remote work, the demand for identity management has increased significantly, and the introduction of Okta is progressing.”
In fact, Nextmode is also operated with full remote work, and employees are working in various places from Hokkaido to Okinawa.
The company has a policy of selling only products that they themselves use.
Regarding sales development, it seems that there are many introductions and word of mouth from other companies through B2B.
“Although we weren’t actively selling Okta, the number of inquiries from customers has gradually increased as our company is working fully remotely. We are focusing on using the web to raise awareness.Since the IDaaS market is gaining momentum in Japan, we would like to continue targeting this market,” says President Satomi.
Nextmode’s sales composition ratio is currently the largest for the AWS business, but the sales of the SaaS business have more than doubled in fiscal 2021 and 2022, and the SaaS business is expected to exceed the AWS business this fiscal year. Nextmode plans to grow Okta as a pillar of its SaaS business.
