Arizona Department of Water Resources adopts Hitachi Vantara’s Pentaho Data Catalog
Arizona Department of Water Resources has selected the Pentaho Data Catalog from Hitachi Vantara, a U.S. subsidiary of Hitachi which provides data management and analysis capabilities to centrally manage, classify, and analyze state data with high reliability.
It strengthens our commitment to sustainability and resource management amidst the far-reaching water supply challenges facing the Southwest United States, and future water resources for the 7 million inhabitants of the Grand Canyon State of Arizona. It’s part of the effort to secure it.
Arizona Department of Water Resources collects, stores and analyzes approximately six trillion gallons of water use data annually from thousands of wells and surface water sources to effectively manage Arizona’s water supply.
Arizona Department of Water Resources is well positioned to establish water rights rulings with reliable and accurate data by analyzing data against records such as geographic location coordinates, water depth and usage. However, without a metadata repository, it is difficult for staff to find important data sets.
