Integration of docomo MEC and AWS Outposts racks NTT docomo
NTT docomo succeeded in linking “docomo MEC” Osaka base and “AWS Outposts Rack” of Amazon Web Service (AWS).
NTT docomo installed the AWS Outposts rack in the same location as docomo MEC in the docomo office building and connected it to docomo MEC via a local network. I have verified that it works as a service.
NTT docomo has verified high-definition VR remote rendering processing, and has confirmed that it is possible to experience remote rendering with a shorter delay time than when docomo MEC and AWS Outposts Rack are not linked.
docomo MEC is a cloud service that features a low-latency, high-security communication environment called MEC (Multi-access Edge Computing). It is provided by NTT Communications for corporations.
AWS Outposts Rack is a fully managed solution that brings AWS infrastructure, services, APIs and tools to on-premises data centers and colocation spaces for a hybrid experience.
