NTT Communications, KSK, and Wakayama Medical University conducted a demonstration experiment to deliver medicines by drone in Wakayama City .
This demonstration experiment aims at the practical use of air transportation for medicine delivery in cases where land routes cannot be used due to large-scale disasters, and for regional support combined with telemedicine. In the demonstration experiment, we extracted issues and verified the operation rules.
The hospital attached to Wakayama Medical University is also a base hospital for doctor helicopters, with 56 helicopters operating in 47 prefectures nationwide. With actual operation in mind, we also confirmed cooperation with the doctor helicopter control room in the hospital.
At the scheduled time of the demonstration experiment, the doctor helicopter was dispatched three times. At that time, the drone was flown after fully confirming safety during flight.
