NTT Le Parc will start a new coin-operated parking system “NTT Le Parc Smart Parking” that utilizes moving object detection and car number authentication technology with AI cameras.
This system utilizes AI technology (moving object detection and car number authentication). The AI camera and cloud server manage all information such as the user’s car license plate number, entry and exit times, and usage fees.
This system uses web payment by smartphone. The only device that needs to be installed in the parking lot is the AI camera. All of the flaps, sensors, entrance/exit gates, payment machines, and parking ticket issuing machines found in conventional parking lots are no longer needed.
This system significantly reduces equipment installation costs when opening a parking lot. By eliminating the need for payment machines and parking ticket issuing machines, the cost of collection and maintenance, as well as the cost of dealing with problems such as jammed bills and coins, can be greatly reduced.
