Visualize the risk of railway facilities Tokyu and IBM

Tokyu Corporation and IBM Japan will utilize the “Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) support system” jointly developed by both companies to monitor the condition of railway facilities and visualize risk score from the end of this month.
This system is equipped with a function that visualizes the risk of equipment failure by accumulating and analyzing data on railway equipment obtained remotely.
By using these functions, it is possible to improve the efficiency of on-site inspections, reduce the burden of nighttime work, and smoothly transfer technology based on data. It is also expected to reduce costs by formulating appropriate equipment renewal plans and to maintain and improve operation quality by preventing breakdowns.
Currently, the target of the system is point machines and rails, but the target will be gradually expanded in the future.
Tokyu Tech Solutions will maintain and operate the system.
