Promoting high-speed wireless communication under the sea NTT
NTT, NTT docomo, and NTT Communications conducted a joint experiment using underwater acoustic communication technology with the aim of realizing high-speed wireless communication under the sea. A successful transmission experiment achieved 1 Mbit/s/300 meters.
Utilizes spatio-temporal equalization technology that realizes high-speed underwater acoustic communication and environmental noise immunity improvement technology that achieves stability independently researched and developed by NTT. We succeeded in a wireless transmission experiment with a transmission speed ten times faster than that of existing technology. In addition, the world’s first fully remote wireless controlled underwater drone compatible with this technology has also been realized.
