Sumitomo Electric Industries received an order from Nippon PS for redox flow battery equipment (equipment capacity: 250 kW x 3 hours) to be installed at the headquarters and factory of Nippon P.S.
The redox flow battery equipment can be charged and discharged according to the amount of solar power generated and the power demand on the premises. When solar power is surplus, it charges power, and when power demand is high, it discharges. This will increase the ratio of renewable energy power on the company’s premises to 50%.
