Furukawa Electric has achieved a high output of 800mW with a low power consumption of about 16W for a pump laser for C-band band Raman amplifiers. In addition, by applying the same technology, we have developed the FRL1441 series of pump lasers for Raman amplifiers with an optical output of 700mW, which is the highest level in the industry, and have begun shipping samples.
