Collaboration in promoting exploratory education NTT East and Dalton Tokyo Gakuen
NTT East and Dalton Tokyo Gakuen have signed a partnership agreement aimed at creating exploratory educational opportunities and promoting regional value creation. In Dalton Tokyo Gakuen, they have introduced a smart store as a school store that allows you to complete everything from entering the store to selecting products and making payments with a smartphone, creating an environment where students can operate themselves.
In the smart store, students are responsible for all operations such as store layout, shift management, and product selection. Currently, 10 students are involved in the operation.
One of the students involved in the management of the store says, “What’s interesting about this job is when a certain product sells like hot cakes. There are times when something I don’t like sells, but I’m happy when it sells.”
By the way, drinks are currently selling well, and Dr. Pepper and Monster Energy are said to be popular.
Takaaki Sato, a teacher at the school, says, “Students purchase products with the assumption that ‘this will definitely sell’ or ‘because they like it, so everyone should like it.’ I think it’s a big point because they can also learn about diversity through real purchasing work.”
