NTT docomo and NTT Communications are conducting a demonstration experiment to evaluate safety and practicality with the aim of commercializing automated driving services at Chubu International Airport in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, Rinku Town, Tokoname City, and public roads around Tokoname Station. It will be held from Sunday (Friday).
Three self-driving buses will be operated simultaneously on two routes, and one supervisor will remotely monitor them.

In addition, they plan to use magnetic markers, which will be Japan’s first effort, for automatic driving on motorways. Analyze and utilize big data with machine learning to dispatch some autonomous buses according to travel demand such as time zone and destination.
