Toshiba Elevator and Toshiba Digital Solutions will jointly develop an elevator platform to realize EaaS (Elevator as a Service), and will apply it to domestic Toshiba elevators from next fiscal year.
Toshiba Digital Solutions’ asset IoT cloud service “Meister RemoteX” for equipment manufacturers will be used for the elevator platform.
By constantly connecting to the cloud and distributing software from the cloud platform, it becomes possible to implement various functions, realizing software-defined elevators.
