Fujikura will build an optical fiber-related production plant.
As a result, the production volume of 12-core intermittent bonded optical fiber (SWR: Spider Web Ribbon) is expected to increase by about 30%.
The new factory will be built in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, which is currently a domestic production base for optical fibers. The factory area is about 3000 square meters.
The new factory is scheduled to start operation in 2025.
