NICT,Bell Laboratories, Prysmian Group and Australian University of Queensland succeeded in the per second 1.53 PetaBit transmission experiment by the optical fiber of the standard outside diameter for the first time in the world. In the standard outside diameter (0.125 mm) 55 mode optical fiber, they made full use of mode multiplex technology.
