“Japan is getting hungry” (Kazuhito Yamashita , GENTOSHA ) which I took and subscribed in the shocking title.This book is considered about the food security of Japan. It is one book which asks the state of the agro.

A close-up of economic security is taken. However, a close-up of food security is seldom taken. Food security is a very important viewpoint.

The author of this book is a former bureaucrat in Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

He claims that we should stop the rice acreage reduction policy immediately, and should convert into an export industry with rice.
If it is an export industry, it will save Japanese people from hunger in case of emergency.

In the present condition,if sea lane is destroyed and it becomes impossible to import food, many japanese will starve to death.

What I read and considered this book is that agro is very complicated.

I am interested in agro × ICT. I used to think that agro would be activated by ICT simply.

It is not mistake in the concept. But agro is not so simple as it is. If not well versed in politics, agro × ICT is not shown.
