China regularly conducts military exercises around Taiwan. North Korea has repeatedly launched missiles. It hasn’t been a big deal so far. That’s why people are astonished and say, “Here we go again!” People begin to downplay the situation and look down on it, thinking, “It’s another military exercise?” or “It’s another missile.” That’s probably what China and North Korea are aiming for. They will wait for us to relax and release their stance before launching a serious attack. It’s a kind of military tactic. What Japan and Taiwan need now is the courage to keep their composure.
