NTT Communications (NTT Com) released “Secured PC Monthly Rental Model Mac Plan”. This plan is ideal for a wide range of employees seeking a high-spec hybrid work environment, such as engineers in charge of development and product design, and staff in charge of promoting DX.
The feature of the new plan is that it enables the use of Apple’s Mac in a work environment.
Until now, the company has received feedback from customers such as, “Engineers and designers prefer to use Macs, but the existing in-house systems are mainly Windows-based, and from a security perspective, Macs cannot be used to access in-house systems.” This plan has been released in response to these voices.

The new plan emphasizes security, considering that engineers and designers will handle confidential information. For example, when using a specific application, it is possible to use the Mac safely in a work environment, such as by implementing a function that automatically distributes it to a closed network and implementing multi-factor authentication.
Under the new plan, NTT Com will provide a one-stop service for a series of tasks related to installation, maintenance, and management, including procurement of Macs, initial settings, and response to inquiries in the event of problems. With this plan, users cannot use the existing Macs they are currently using, but since it is a monthly fee, it is possible to maintain a hybrid work environment using Mac as business terminals while reducing the initial investment.
The company plans to promote this plan to companies that employ a large number of engineers and designers and require a high-spec work environment.
