NTT DATA has developed a system that supports Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s shipping judgment work in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process. Full-scale operation will begin at all six pharmaceutical manufacturing plants in Japan.
This system utilizes the integrated platform “ServiceNow” to link multiple in-house IT systems, and centrally manage various information such as the results of checking manufacturing records and quality test records linked to the lot of the product determined to be shipped.
At Otsuka Pharmaceutical, it was necessary to manually investigate and confirm more than 90 pieces of information from systems and records under the control of multiple organizations, including factories and manufacturing control departments.
In the new system, the information necessary for shipping decisions is consolidated into one system. Employees can reduce the burden of complicated confirmation work and prevent human error.
