NEC Facilities has released a “one-stop service for countermeasures against flood risk” that conducts flood risk surveys for factories, formulates countermeasures, designs and constructs them.
NEC Facilities will initially provide services mainly to the Tokyo Tama area and Yamanashi Prefecture. By conducting independent surveys of areas designated by customers, they provide risk information not found in flood hazard maps issued by administrative agencies. Based on risk information, they support the formulation of BCP for customers in a form that combines design and construction technology.
When NEC Facilities tried this service for a company that owns a building adjacent to a river, it was confirmed from the results of a flood risk survey that countermeasures against rising groundwater were unnecessary. That company was able to cut costs by 150 million yen.
