Developed AI for optimizing route delivery with minimal cost OKI
OKI has developed a new program, such as delivery time adjustment, that incorporates the dispatching skills of skilled employees into the algorithm “Minimum cost route delivery optimization AI” that supports smart logistics.
As a result, it is possible to standardize the vehicle allocation and coordination work that has been dependent on a handful of experienced and skilled employees, and eliminate the dependence of work on individual skills.
In addition, it is now possible to set the delivery work time at the delivery destination, which was not taken into account in the past, and it is possible to prevent overlapping of delivery time zones.
This function will be applied to the demonstration experiment with Ronco Japan, and the amount of annual cost reduction, including fuel costs and toll road usage fees, will be approximately doubled compared to the conventional “minimum cost route delivery optimization AI”. It was confirmed.
In addition, considering the toll road usage fee, which was not fully considered in the past, has been added, and it is now possible to expect cost reduction effects. In addition to the fuel cost of about 3.6 million yen, we were able to reduce about 7 million yen including the toll road usage fee.
