NTT West, NTT Business Solutions, NTT Smart Connect, Media Links, and For-A launched the “Remote Editing Service Co-Creation Project” with the cooperation of four broadcasters and program production companies to conduct demonstration tests of remote editing services. We confirmed the stable operability of this service even in a remote environment and its suitability for video editing work. The company plans to continue to study the business feasibility.

This service enables editors to remotely connect to an editing server in a data center operated by the NTT West Group and edit video.
The video edited on the server can be converted by the IP transmission device MDP3020 into a format (JPEG XS) that can be transmitted over the IP network and displayed on a remote monitor.

As a result, editing work that used to be done in the office environment can now be done at home or on the go.
