NTT docomo, KDDI, Okinawa Cellular Telephone, SoftBank, and Rakuten Mobile will launch “JAPAN Roaming” on April 1st  to provide alternative means of communication during emergencies.

Even if a large-scale disaster or outage renders the contracted carrier’s communication services unavailable, this service will serve as an alternative, allowing users to utilize some of the communication services of other carriers.
