OKI has launched the Projection Assembly System in Thailand and Indonesia, supporting tasks such as assembly and quality inspection, as part of its “on-site transformation” initiative for digital transformation in manufacturing.
This system combines projector-based task navigation with sensing technology to create a workplace where anyone can perform work with consistent quality. This Southeast Asian launch marks the start of OKI’s global expansion of manufacturing digital transformation, and through local language support, enhanced functionality, and collaboration with local partners, it will rapidly resolve a variety of issues that arise at manufacturing sites in each country.
Manufacturing sites in Southeast Asia are facing increasingly serious challenges, including high labor mobility, multinationalization, and inconsistent work quality. Especially in assembly processes, which involve a large amount of manual labor, there is a strong need to create an environment where everyone can perform work with consistent quality, regardless of nationality or skill level.
OKI works with local partners to provide comprehensive support from implementation to operation, improvement, and maintenance.
