NTT East investigates possibility of hydrogen use with Tokyo Metropolitan Government
NTT East has signed an agreement with Tokyo Metropolitan Government to jointly conduct a feasibility study of large-scale hydrogen use and supply, including laying pipelines in the airport waterfront area.
Based on the agreement, the company will consider each of the “production,” “transportation,” and “use” aspects of the Tokyo airport waterfront area, as well as the business feasibility and roadmap creation for the “entire value chain.”
NTT Anode Energy and NTT Data Institute of Management Consulting have also signed similar agreements with Tokyo Metropolitan Government. In order to minimize transportation costs, the NTT Group is considering the use of hydrogen by utilizing infrastructure such as tunnels and pipes.
