IOWN demo at Interrop NTT West
NTT West has launched a remote “virtual” production initiative aimed at the development of remote production, which is expected to be a use case for IOWN, and will unveil it at Interrop Tokyo 2024. The initiative will be carried out with the cooperation of BALS, a partner selected at the future co-creation program “Furure-Built Powered by IOWN” held at “QUINTBRIDGE,” an open innovation facility operated by NTT West.
In remote “virtual” production, the low latency and large capacity features of the IOWN APN will be utilized to realize simultaneous switching between cameras (angle of view) of virtual and real performers at multiple locations, reducing the number of operations. In addition, the “large capacity” will reduce the number of installed lines and simplify the equipment configuration, aiming for more convenient video shooting and production.
