Deploying water distribution SaaS solution Pioneer and Waqua
Pioneer and Waqua will collaborate to build a “water distribution SaaS solution”.
By bringing together Waqua’s “small seawater desalination equipment” and its utilization know-how, and Pioneer’s knowledge of routing technology and fleet management, they will create a small-scale decentralized water supply service that does not require water piping from a water treatment plant. Build water distribution solutions that efficiently extract, purify, and transport water from water sources.
They will collaborate with each local government, verify commercialization, and aim to operate in local cities, including remote islands and depopulated areas.
Utilizing Waqua’s “small seawater desalination equipment” and Pioneer’s navigation and fleet management system, they will efficiently operate a small-scale distributed water supply service that does not require water pipes from a water treatment plant at low cost. A water tanker equipped with a “compact seawater desalination device” will take water from nearby water sources such as the sea or rivers, and transport and supply the water to multiple water distribution reservoirs while purifying it. It can also be used as alternative water distribution infrastructure during water outages due to natural disasters.
