AGRIST has installed a cucumber harvesting robot at Takamiya’s Aina Hanyu Farm in Hanyu City, Saitama Prefecture.
This robot moves on a highly stable rail model in order to harvest more cucumbers, each weighing more than 100 grams. Additionally, a camera mounted on the robot recognizes the crops, and AI determines the size and performs harvesting operations.
The harvesting hand uses a suction type harvesting hand, and is equipped with a function to harvest without damaging the cultivation environment or crops.
