On October 19, OKI and OKI workwell conducted ” joint remote field trip” for 221 students from 21 special needs schools across the country.
This field trip is an initiative that allows students who have difficulty getting around and are unable to go out to experience a field trip using ICT.
OKI workwell is coordinating this event as part of its social contribution activities. This year will be the 9th consecutive year the event has been held.
This joint remote field trip was held at Fuchu Keyakinomori Gakuen, and was broadcast live from the NTT Technology Archives. The participating students learned about the history and mechanism of telephones, which supported people’s communication 100 years after the Great Kanto Earthquake.
OKI workwell is also developing ” on-site classes” and ” remote workplace training” for students at special needs schools as an initiative to utilize the experience of working from home for people with disabilities in school education.
