NTT Telecon has launched a new highly waterproof LPWA terminal, ”Good ToBikun W,” which is directly connected to water meters, in order to expand the use of remote water meter reading solutions.
In areas with heavy snowfall, the water supply box itself is often buried under snow, making it very difficult for meter readers to read the meter.

There is a need for a terminal that can fit inside the water supply box and is waterproof enough to withstand this situation. The use of ”Good ToBikun W” will expand the scope of service to ”difficult meter reading areas” where water meter boxes are covered with snow and difficult to read.

“Good ToBikun W” is a type of terminal that is installed inside the water meter box and directly connected to the water meter. In “difficult meter reading areas” where meter reading becomes difficult during snowfall, even if the water meter box is buried under snow, it operates stably with a high meter reading rate.
